Law Enforcement Requests

Version 0.3 · effective 2026-10-03

How to contact us

Requests from law enforcement or other authorities should be sent to [contact email — set CONTACT_EMAIL or MAILBOXES_LIVE] from an official address, identifying the requesting body, the legal basis, and the account or records concerned. [Lawyer: add a postal address for service once the entity is incorporated]

Valid legal process

We disclose information only in response to valid legal process that applies to us, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent serious harm to a person. We review each request and may push back on requests that are unclear or too broad.

What exists

Turnly holds very little about the people in a queue:

  • A ticket: service, times, status.
  • For WhatsApp joins: a phone number and the messages sent to the queue number, for up to 30 days after the last message.
  • No names (unless a business asks for a first name), no addresses, no ID numbers, no photos or files, no location data.

About businesses we hold: owner and staff accounts, business details, the uploaded trade licence, settings, and an audit log of sensitive actions (365 days).

Preservation

On a valid preservation request we place the relevant account on legal hold, which stops scheduled deletion until the hold is lifted.

Emergencies

Where there is an imminent risk of death or serious injury, say so in the subject line. We will act on such requests as a priority.
