Waytly

Wait less. Live more. Waytly turns a line on the floor into a number on a phone. It looks like the wayfinding signs in an airport or a metro: clear from across the room, in any language. Arabic: وايتلي.

The logo

A wayfinding-yellow tile with a counter bell and three ding lines, next to the lowercase wordmark set in Overpass Black. The bell is the sound of “you’re next” at every counter. Always use the outlined files; never retype the name.

On paper printed in black and white (QR door signs, receipts) use the one-colour mark: a black tile with a white bell. Yellow on white turns to a pale grey on a mono printer.

In motion

The bell rings once (0.7 s) when the logo first appears and when a ticket is called. It does not move for people who ask their device for less motion.

Do and don’t

  • Keep clear space of half the tile height on every side.
  • Lockup at least 96 px wide; mark at least 16 px.
  • On navy or dark photos use the light wordmark; on white use the ink one.
  • Use the one-colour mark for black-and-white print.
  • Don’t recolour the tile or the bell.
  • Don’t stretch, tilt, outline or add shadows.
  • Don’t put the yellow tile on a yellow background.
  • Don’t set the name in another font and call it the logo.
